Taking power plants as an example, new and rebuilt power plants with coal sulfur content greater than 1% must be equipped with desulfurization facilities.
Flue gas desulfurization is the main measure for controlling sulfur dioxide emissions in coal-fired power plants today. At present, the mainstream desulfurization processes in the world include wet, dry, semi-dry and ammonia methods. Among them, the limestone-gypsum wet desulfurization process has the characteristics of high desulfurization efficiency, large flue gas treatment capacity per unit, good adaptability to coal types, mature process technology, long stable operation cycle, small impact of load changes, and limestone as a desulfurization absorbent has a wide source and low price, and the by-product gypsum can be recovered after dehydration, which has a high comprehensive utilization value. my country's State Power Corporation has also identified the wet limestone desulfurization process as the leading process for flue gas desulfurization in thermal power plants.
However, since the main circulating fluids in the system during the operation of the desulfurization device are limestone and gypsum slurry and some other impurities, and these fluids are both abrasive and corrosive, especially when the SO3 content in the flue gas increases, the dust concentration increases, and the water content increases, the corrosion is more serious: after the system has been running for a certain period of time, scaling begins to appear in the system, and the scale blocks that are peeled off are large in particles and high in hardness, which greatly increases the wear of the equipment. The corrosion and wear of equipment has long plagued desulfurization users and is also the main factor affecting the commissioning rate of equipment. Therefore, improving the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of equipment is extremely important for the safe and stable operation of equipment. In particular, valves as fluid control components are the first to bear the brunt.
