Usage restrictions of pneumatic flange ball valves
For precautions of electric or pneumatic actuators, please refer to their corresponding instructions.
Temperature and pressure limits:
l The nameplate shows the maximum operating pressure allowed by the ball valve at the maximum and minimum operating temperatures.
l For valve seats and seals made of PTFE or RTFE, the operating temperature should be between -290C and 2000C. The operating temperature of other types of valve seats and seals should be checked by the KI factory.
l The nominal pressure rating (PN) of the valve indicates the maximum working pressure of the valve under normal temperature conditions. (For example: PN4.0 indicates that the maximum working pressure when the operating temperature is -290C~380C is 40 Bar (4.0MPa)).
l For precautions of electric or pneumatic actuators, please refer to their corresponding instructions.
Installation of pneumatic flange ball valve:
1) Remove the protective covers on both sides of the flange end and rinse and clean the valve in the fully open state.
2) Before installation, the whole machine should be tested according to the specified signal (electric or pneumatic) (to prevent vibration caused by transportation from affecting the performance), and it can be installed online only after passing the test (wiring according to the electric actuator circuit diagram).
3) Before connecting to the pipeline, flush and clean the remaining impurities in the pipeline (these substances may damage the valve seat and ball). 4) During installation, please do not use the actuator part of the valve as a lifting point to avoid damaging the actuator and accessories. 5) This type of valve should be installed in the horizontal or vertical direction of the pipeline. 6) The pipeline near the installation point should not be drooping or subjected to external forces. Pipe brackets or supports can be used to eliminate pipeline deviation. 7) After connecting to the pipeline, cross-tighten the flange connection bolts with the specified torque. Operation and use of pneumatic flange ball valve: 1) Before operation, make sure that the pipeline and valve have been flushed. 2) The operation of the valve is completed by driving the valve stem to rotate according to the size of the actuator input signal: when the valve rotates 1/4 turn (900) in the forward direction, the valve is closed. When the reverse rotation is 1/4 turn (900), the valve is open. 3) When the actuator direction indicator arrow is parallel to the pipeline, the valve is open; when the indicator arrow is perpendicular to the pipeline, the valve is closed. Having a long service life and maintenance-free period will depend on the following factors: normal working conditions, maintaining a harmonious temperature/pressure ratio, and reasonable corrosion data.
